Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said Ingram, a Greensboro resident, was found shortly before 8:30 p.m. in a wrecked Dodge Challenger, which was “down a ravine and covered with woods and underbrush.”

“The vehicle had apparently left the roadway at a high rate of speed (and) collided with a tree some 20 feet beneath road level in a creek bed,” Sills said.

No further details were immediately available. It was unclear when the accident may have occurred.

Sills said the crash was being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol. Inquiries that agency were not immediately returned.

According to a Facebook post from the nearby Greene County Sheriff's Office, Ingram, who was "affectionately known as 'Polo Man,'" had been missing since May 18. A family spokesperson wrote that Ingram turned 30 on Wednesday.
