“Movies By Moonlight” is back in Sandy Springs.

The 2017 schedule for the annual event has been released and includes movies that kids and the rest of the family will enjoy. Each movie will begin at 6 p.m. and be shown on a 30-foot screen on the lawn of the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.

And the best part about these movies: they’re free.

The event, presented by Leadership Sandy Springs, will show “Moana” on Aug. 18, the “Lego Batman Movie” on Aug. 25, and the new “Beauty and the Beast” movie — starring Emma Watson — on Sept. 8.

Each night, festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Organizers encourage movie watchers to arrive early for the best seats, inflatables and pre-movie activities.

Admission is free, and there will also be concessions available for purchase. Chick-fil-A, Angelfire 7 BBQ, Dogs on Wheels and other vendors will set up on site.

No pets are allowed, but be sure to bring a blanket or beach chair. Movies begin showing at dusk.
