You can get up close and personal with an actual reindeer at Lilburn’s Christmas tree lighting celebration on Saturday.

The event will be held at City Hall on Nov. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. City Hall will be decorated inside and out with holiday trimmings. The reindeer will remain outside.

Music will be performed by the Georgia Brass Band, Lilburn Middle School Chorus and Lilburn First Baptist Proclamation Handbell Ensemble.

School groups, sports teams and non-profit organizations can enter the city's "Deck the Hall" tree contest, in which groups must decorate a 7-inch tree. Spectators can buy tickets used to vote for their favorite trees. The votes will equal donations to each organization, and each vote is an entry to win the tree that is voted upon. Registration documents can be found online.

Lilburn City Hall is located at 340 Main St.
