Santa’s arrival in Cobb tomorrow means a parade and a tree lighting
The holly, jolly dude is again coming to Smyrna.
The city is hosting “Coming Home for The Holidays” on Tuesday, which will mark the arrival of Santa Claus.
It all starts at 5 p.m. on the Village Green with free hot cocoa on the front porch of the community center and a 20-minute performance from Cumberland Christian Academy’s Patriot Singers in the center’s large gym.

There will be several choral and band/orchestra performances throughout the night. You can see a musical schedule online.
The parade, which starts at 7 p.m., lasts about 15 minutes. After the parade comes the tree-lighting ceremony. For those who are glitter-averse: The city said Santa will be throwing “magic dust” (glitter) to light the tree.

There will be a children’s event going on during the event in the community center’s small gym. The kiddos will be able to enjoy a s’mores bar, Christmas photo cutouts, and arts and crafts until 8 p.m.
Kennesaw is also having holiday festivities on Tuesday.
