A Waffle House in Atlanta nearly failed a health inspection Tuesday after health officials found live flies in the kitchen a second time.
The Waffle House on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs got a score of 71. The establishment previously scored a 90 in March, when officials initially noted the presence of live flies.
The report also says the handwash sink was not always accessible for employees and that the coolers, shelves and grills were not deep-cleaned properly.

The manager directed The Atlanta Journal-Constitution to the Waffle House corporate office for comment.
"We are disappointed in this score and apologize to our customers for letting them down," the Waffle House corporate office said in a statement. "Many of the issues were corrected on site and the others are being addressed now."
