Residents are invited for a free airshow at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport this weekend in observance of the 100th anniversary of operations at the site.

This year’s annual Good Neighbor Day Airshow and Open House is set for Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

The site first became active in 1917 as a World War I Army training base and became a Naval Air Station during World War II in 1942. Today it’s Georgia's second busiest airport.

Parking is $10.

The show is dedicated to Greg Connell, a longtime acrobatic pilot who was killed in a crash during last year's event.
