Best places at Kennesaw Mountain to see fall leaves change colors

If you're looking for somewhere in Cobb County to see the leaves change colors, you can do much worse than Kennesaw Mountain.

But it's hard to narrow down the prettiest spots in all 2,965 acres of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

Unless you're Amanda Corman, park ranger.

She suggests driving to the top of the mountain for a stunning view of the many trees. On a clear day, she said you can see the Atlanta skyline past the burnt orange and pomegranate-red leaves.

But her real favorite is dusk at the Illinois Monument at Cheatham Hill, which is where the deadliest part of the mountain battle took place.

So you get some history with your pretty autumnal leaves.
