Hopefully metro Atlanta will be blessed with some nice spring weather during the first weekend in April.

That’s when several local bands and breweries will invade Sandy Springs for two days of beats and booze.

The third annual Rhythm & Brews festival returns to north Fulton County on April 7. The event will feature four Georgia bands and drinks from five Georgia breweries. Food trucks, games and vendors will be on-site too.

Put on by Heritage Sandy Springs, a non-profit dedicating to promoting and preserving the city’s history and cultural identity, the event will start at 2 p.m. and end around 7 p.m. The entertainment lawn at Heritage Green — 6110 Blue Stone Road NE — will host the event.

The event is free for children under 12 years old. Other tickets range from $15 to $55. Tickets can be purchased online. They will be more expensive if purchased on the day-of the event.

Featured bands include Beau + Luci, Wet Jeans, Battlefield Collective, and The Howling Tongues.

Local breweries serving up cold beverages include Red Hare, Reformation, Jekyll, Pontoon Brewing and Urban Tree Cidery.

Smoking is not allowed at the event. All proceeds will benefit Heritage Sandy Springs.
