Hearings to gather public input on redistricting are set to continue with a pair of sessions in South Georgia.

The Joint House and Senate Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Committee will meet Monday at Albany State University and Tuesday at Wiregress Georgia Technical College in Valdosta. Both meetings will take place from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

They are among the 12 public hearings lawmakers are holding throughout Georgia.

The House and Senate are set to return to the Capitol on Aug. 15 for a special session to redraw congressional and legislative district lines to conform to new U.S. Census figures.

State officials have also taken the wraps off a website containing the hearing schedule, videos of past hearings, press releases and a place to submit public comments.

The website is: www1.legis.ga.gov/legis/2011—12/house/Committees/reapportionment/gahlcr.htm.
