The head of MARTA will be in Clayton County this Saturday to talk about the county’s upcoming vote to join the transportation system. MARTA chief executive Keith Parker will discuss the critical decision at Clayton Commission vice chairwoman Shana Rooks’ quarterly District 3 Saturday Talk community meeting at the South Clayton Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to noon. It’s also a chance to meet Clayton’s chief operating officer Arrelle Anderson, county finance officer Ramona Thurman, Clayton police chief Greg Porter and Jeff Metarko, the county’s transportation and development director. The meeting will be followed by a 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. job fair hosted by MARTA. The recreation center is located at 1837 McDonough Road in Hampton (Clayton side).
