MARTA is losing another executive to a local nonprofit.

Assistant General Manager of Technology Ming Hsi will retire from MARTA to become the chief information officer for United Way of Greater Atlanta. Hsi has spent the last 15 years at MARTA and became assistant general manager three and a half years ago.

He says now is the time for him to leave for the private sector.

MARTA expects to announce an interim information technology leader soon.

Hsi's departure follows last month's announcement that CEO and General Manager Keith Parker is leaving to become president and CEO of Goodwill of North Georgia. The MARTA Board of Directors has begun a national search for Parker's replacement.
