A proposed mixed-use development that would include 298 luxury apartments and a Kroger is scheduled to come before the Cobb County Commission for a vote on Feb. 20.

The project is slated for the site of the old Brumby Elementary School on Powers Ferry Rd. after a new school was built nearby on Terrell Mill Rd.

In addition to the grocery store and apartments, “MarketPlace Terrell Mill” would include retail, office space, restaurants and a self storage facility—seven buildings on 23 acres.

The proposal has faced backlash from some neighbors over density.
