Hank Huckaby becomes chancellor of the University System of Georgia July 1 and he has selected a new fiscal affairs chief to join him.

John Brown, who was most recently director of the House Budget Office, will be the new vice chancellor for fiscal affairs. His job will include managing and helping to develop the system's annual budget as well as the process of allocating money among the system's 35 colleges.

The current vice chancellor, Usha Ramachandran, is leaving to join the business college at Georgia State University.
