Inauguration ceremony for commissioner-elect Rooks to be held Dec. 21

An inauguration ceremony and reception will be held for Clayton County commissioner-elect Shana Rooks on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 7725 Highway 85 in Riverdale. The event is open to the public. An invitation-only reception will follow at The Banquet Hall of Jonesboro, 990 Pointe South Parkway in Jonesboro.
