Flooring retailer Floor & Decor is relocating from Atlanta to Cobb County and could bring as many as 500 new jobs over the coming years, according to an announcement from Governor Nathan Deal’s office Thursday.

The jobs include administrative and customer service positions, according to the announcement.

The company will receive a $500,000 grant to help establish the new headquarters and could be eligible for more than $3 million in state tax breaks for five years if it creates 500 qualifying new jobs.

“The state’s business-friendly environment and infrastructure make it the perfect place for us to support our stores and our customers,” Floor & Decor CEO Tom Taylor was quoted saying in the statement.

The company currently operates 95 warehouse-format stores in 26 states, including seven in Georgia, as well as a distribution center outside Savannah.
