Pinewood Forest, the 235-acre mixed-use development in Fayetteville, announced its latest office project Thursday morning.

In March, the south metro residential and retail destination will break ground on a  52,824-square-foot office building that will include ground-floor retail space as well as a

2,500-square-foot rooftop restaurant and bar.

"As we create a dynamic, walkable downtown for south Metro Atlanta with the best food, hotel and entertainment options in the market, this mixed-use office/retail/entertainment complex adds an exceptional option to the mix of professional workspace offered at adjacent Pinewood Atlanta Studios, nearby Piedmont Fayette Hospital, and the extensive corporate community within minutes of Pinewood Forest," said Bill Lynch, project director for Pinewood Forest and principal of Pace Lynch Corporation, the building's developer.

The four-level building, which will include medical offices as well as loft space, is expected to open January of next year. The facade will feature locally sourced mid-1800s brick reclaimed from the Langdale Mill in Valley, Ala., Pinewood said.

The announcement follows the unveiling last year of a luxury movie theater by Spotlight Theaters in the works for the Pinewood Forest.
