A couple of Georgia dogs have won their breeds at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

Bascovail Floatin’ Purple Draegonfly, who will be 2 years old Valentine’s Day, is a border terrier owned by Adelaide Skoglund and Debby and John Behan.

The Behans breed border terriers at BasCoVail in Tucker, where they've lived since 1998.

Draegonfly bested 14 other border terriers to take the best of breed title. He will advance to the group competition, where he’ll compete against the winners of the 31 other terrier breeds.

Pinnacle Kentucky Bourbon took the title for whippets. Bourbon is owned by Justin Smithey, Ken Latimer, Judy Descutner, Nancy Shaw and Cheslie Smithey.

Bourbon is bred and handled by Justin C. Smithey of Sugar Valley, near Resaca. Her brother, Whiskey, took best in show at the National Dog Show in November 2018.
