Winner: Best sushi in Alpharetta | Best of Alpharetta

Folks living in Alpharetta have heeded the call to chime in on the go-to spots in the city for the Japanese dish.

We encourage our readers to support local businesses after the authorities loosen the social distancing rules — along with supporting those businesses that offer delivery or pickup during the outbreak.

If Alpharetta residents have ever been curious about the city’s best sushi offerings, this week’s Best of Alpharetta results have the answer.

Folks living in the north Fulton city have heeded the call to chime in on go-to spots for the Japanese dish.

Eighth placeholder was Oshi Poke Bowl and Sushi, which garnered 3% of votes.

Tied for sixth place were Sushi Uchi and the write-in option, MF Bar, which each got 4% of the votes.

In fifth place was Sushi Sumo, which got 5% of votes, followed by fourth place finisher Aomi Japanese Restaurant. The Alpharetta eatery, which also has a location in Norcross, received 6% of votes.

Now for the top three.

Third place went to Kona Grill. A restaurant at Avalon, this spot features steaks and sushi. It got 7% of the votes. Second place saw a big leap in votes, with Natsu Sushi Bar and Ocean Grill getting 18%. The contemporary restaurant in the Terraces At Windward retail center offers specialty sushi rolls among its Japanese staples.

So which sushi spot was deemed the best? That would overwhelmingly be none other than Sushi Nami. The spot got 52% of votes. Despite its minimalist space, the modern spot offers creative small plates along with sushi and other Japanese meals.
