There are big authors and then there are very big authors.

Think Shaquille O’Neal.

The former Los Angeles Lakers player-turned-sports analyst will be in Decatur on April 30 to promote his latest children’s book, “Little Shaq Takes A Chance.”

He will sign copies of his book at 10 a.m. April 30 at First Baptist Church Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave. The event is part of the Georgia Center for the Book activities.

The book, which is illustrated by Theodore Taylor III, a Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent award winner, encourages kids to find their own true talents.
