What’s better than polishing off a pint at a local brewery? Well, what if that beer also helped pups here in Atlanta?

That’s the idea behind the Pups and Pints event at Wild Heaven Beer in Atlanta’s West End.

The event, held 5-9 p.m. Thursdays, gives $1 from each of their three featured beers purchased to the Atlanta Humane Society.

The brews can be enjoyed on Wild Heaven’s dog-friendly patio along the Westside Beltline Trail.

Wild Heaven opened at its Avondale Estates location in 2014, after beginning contract brewing in 2010.

It’s the brain child of Wild Heaven president Nick Purdy and brewer Eric Johnson.

In 2019, the duo behind the brewery — makers of the popular Emergency Drinking Beer — opened the 21,600 square-feet shop in the West End.

Purdy previously told the AJC that in addition to making quality beer, they hope to be a "true asset to the community."

In addition to the events that care for canines, the brewery also holds regular yoga sessions and other community events.
