Spotting pumpkins galore at every turn? No surprise there. The large, round fruit is a beloved autumn staple. From decorations and trimmings to pies and lattes, it can be used for just about anything.

If you’re hoping to get your hands on a few, whether it be for feasting or ornamenting, you’re in luck. There are several pumpkin patches throughout Georgia to help you kick off the season just right.

Berry Patch Farms

When you make your way to Berry Patch Farms, you’ll be able to hop on a hayride to visit the pumpkin patch. Pick your favorites and snap a few pictures of the orange pastures. When you’re done, ride back to the front of the farm for some apple cider, boiled peanuts and other treats.

Warbington Farms

In 2016, this site was voted the “best place for kids to have fun” by Forsyth County News because of all the fun activities available. You can stop by the pumpkin patch for free, where the fruits are on sale for varying prices, and you can also visit the corn maze and barnyard with a $12 admission ticket.

Sleepy Hollow Farm

Take a ride on the tractor during the day to get to the pumpkin patch. While you’re there, you can explore the corn maze or petting zoo, too. There are also plenty of kids games on the farm playground and a “Stranger Things” locations tour at night.

Still Family Farm

During the fall season, Still Family Farm shares its 149 acres of land to the public. The farm offers pumpkins of all sizes and even jack-o’-lanterns for sale. Once you’ve made your selection, enjoy a 24-minute hayride or compete with your friends in a rubber ducky race.

Big Springs Farm

Big Springs Farm has all kinds of pumpkins on its site. From the tiniest “wee be little,” which weighs about a pound, to the “Big Max,” which is about 50 pounds, there is no shortage of varieties. Stick around for some yummy treats like hot dogs and apple fritters, and let the kids get their faces painted or play in the bounce house.

Scottsdale Farms

Families are invited to Scottsdale Farms for a day of pumpkin picking. You’ll be able to find lots of outdoor inspiration, too, as the site offers plenty of furniture, home decors and gifts from local and international vendors.

Buford Corn Maze

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, Buford Corn Maze is providing autumn fun for families throughout October and November. In addition to finding the perfect pumpkins, visitors can enjoy a walk through the 5-acre corn maze or view the animals on the farm for an extra fee.

Known as one of the largest pumpkin patches in Georgia, make your way down to choose pre-cut ones or to snip your own right off the vine. During your visit, you can also watch a movie all about pumpkins or stop by the science center or bee house.

Uncle Bob’s

Uncle Bob’s has about 36 acres of countryside with a ton of action for people of all ages. Choose between small and large pumpkins and take home some pumpkin butter. Hang around for the pottery demonstration, puppet show or chicken house, and take a walk through the vegetable and herb gardens.

The park is hosting its annual pumpkin-themed festival, featuring a parade with Spookley the Square Pumpkin, large light-up pumpkin displays and a pie-eating contest.
