To help raise awareness of shelter dogs, photographer Dan Bannino created a photo series where he transforms shelter dogs into his favorite authors. The "Poetic Dogs" project has gone viral on Twitter and Instagram.
The photographer was inspired to create the photo series after he adopted a shelter dog.
Bannino is raising funds online so he can continue the photo project and create a book of the photo series.
