It seems like President Barack Obama can’t catch a break this month. After his party endured disappointing national election results and he unveiled a controversial immigration plan, the president faced perhaps his toughest critics of all: his own daughters.

The annual presidential turkey pardon is usually a light-hearted event. In past years, Malia and Sasha have seemed to enjoy the festivities. But now the two are teenagers, and they were barely able to contain their adolescent disdain as their father pardoned Cheese the turkey.

The two girls don’t even give their dad a mercy laugh when he cracks a corny joke. When asked if she wants to pet the pardoned turkey, Malia simply says, “Nah.”

Hopefully Malia and Sasha will be more impressed with the annual White House Thanksgiving feast.
