First Staples, now GameStop.
The video game store found in nearly every mall has decided to take a stand against retailers forcing employees to work on Thanksgiving.
GameStop recently made the announcement that its stores will be closed on Thanksgiving, allowing employees to spend the national holiday with their family and friends instead of standing behind a cash register.
In fact, all of the company's brick and mortar stores including Spring Mobile, Simply Mac, Cricket Wireless and ThinkGeek will be closed on Nov. 26, according to the company's press release.
The stores will reopen at 5 a.m. on Nov. 27 for Black Friday sales.
If shoppers must spend their money on Thanksgiving, they can always visit the online stores.
GameStop is the latest store to announce the Thanksgiving Day closing.
Staples announced earlier this month that all of the company's traditional stores would also be closed on Thanksgiving.
