Atlanta performers are set to take the stage at the 2020 BET Awards but it won’t be a typical show. This year, the event will take place virtually amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The 20th-anniversary show will use an “array of innovative techniques and artist-generated content” to bring the event to life. It will also air across ViacomCBS networks on June 28. Here’s how you can watch it.

What time is the ceremony?

The 2020 BET Awards will air at 8 p.m. Sunday. “Insecure” actress and comedian/activist Amanda Seales is the host.

Where can I watch the show?

The ceremony will air on BET but will also be simultaneously broadcast on ViacomCBS networks, including BET Her. It will also mark its national broadcast premiere on CBS. Are there any local performers on the bill?

The BET Awards will include a variety of performers from hip hop, R&B and even country genres and Atlanta is well represented among them. Usher, Chloe x Halle, Summer Walker and Wayne Brady, who was born in Columbus, are set to take the stage. Others include Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch, Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Hudson, DaBaby and Kane Brown.

Which artists are nominated?

Drake leads the nominations with six followed by Roddy Ricch and Megan Thee Stallion with five nods each. Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Lizzo, and DaBaby each scored four nominations.
