Fast-food chain Wendy’s has removed soda as a beverage option with kids’ meals.
While soda will no longer appear as a menu option, customers can still order a soda with a kid’s meal.
Bob Bertini, a spokesman for Wendy's told USA Today that soda was never the default beverage choice for kids' meals. Customers can choose from 1% white or chocolate milk, 100% juice or bottled water.
According to Corporate Accountability International, soda remains one of the most profitable items in fast-food restaurants.
