Eight Fulton County agencies serving the health care needs of uninsured and underinsured residents will receive $560,000 in grants from Kaiser Permanente of Georgia.

The agencies, which serve more than 11,900 patients a year, include the Good Samaritan Health Center, AID Atlanta and the Center for Black Women’s Wellness.

Kaiser Permanente’s donation to the Fulton agencies is part of a total of $1.6 million in grants to 24 safety net clinics in metro Atlanta. Altogether, these organizations expect to provide primary, preventive, prenatal and medical care to more than 33,100 patients, including those with chronic diseases.
