Kaiser Permanente of Georgia recently awarded a $499,868 grant to the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at the Morehouse School of Medicine.

The grant will be used to support the development and implementation of  leadership programs aimed at reducing disparities in mental and primary health care.  It will also create partnerships to more effectively diagnose and treat mental health conditions.

The Kasier funding will provide for six post-graduate fellows. The fellows will look at several areas including the re-entry of people from the corrections system into the general population and how that might affect their mental  health.
