Cobb event promotes health, wellness

Organizers of a health and wellness event at the Cobb Galleria Centre on Saturday hope to raise public awareness of challenges facing the Southeast, which has some of the nation’s highest rates of diabetes and other chronic illnesses.

It is the first in a series of regional events that are part of a health and wellness initiative led by Al Bartell, founder of the Independent Public Policy Network. It will be held in meeting room 113 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
