History: As a gateway to self-sufficiency, this organization and its partners have been leading people from homelessness to sustainable housing and employment since 2005.

Did you know: Their four-story building houses 382 beds, eight programs and 14 partner organizations that focus on the core issues of homelessness, such as behavioral health and medical conditions. Each year, more than 9,000 homeless people come through their doors for a variety of needs – medical and health services, job training, family and community engagement, or financial literacy.

Motto: "To connect people experiencing homelessness with the support necessary to become self-sufficient and find a permanent home."

How can you help: Gateway Center needs volunteers to prepare and serve meals, provide job and interview training, and to sort clothing donations. Financial gifts are welcome.
