VINTAGE JEWELRY REVAMPED

Atlanta-based jewelry company, Val Colbert, turns authentic buttons and coins from as far back as the 1840s into modern jewelry. Prices in the line of bracelets, necklaces and more range from $200 - $900. This French enamel button bracelet on triple strand freshwater pearls costs $270. The button dates back to 1880-1890 and is the Champlevé style of enamel made by hollowing or etching out portions of the metal base and then placing the enamel into the “walled” sections. The buttons are then fired, creating colorful designs and intricate patterns. For retail orders call 404-348-4961.
