Get your drink on and help a cause at Halcyon this Wednesday.

The mixed-use development invites guests on Dec. 18 to join the inaugural event by signing in for holiday swag and a menu of offerings at area bars. Then, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., the crawl is on.

Christmas cocktails and seasonal beers will be available at participating bars and restaurants. They include CMX Stone Sports Bar, CT Cantina & Taqueria, Cherry Street Brewpub at Halcyon, Ocean & Acre and Butcher & Brew.

The 21 and up event will be capped off by photo sessions with the Grinch in the evening along with what’s described as “assorted shenanigans.” It’s the Christmas stealer who’ll choose who wins the ugly Christmas sweater contest. The three winners will get a $50 gift card from one Halcyon restaurant.

Tickets are $5 and 100% of sales benefit Giving Kitchen. The non-profit provides emergency financial help to food service workers along with offering a network of community resources.

The charitable bar hopping activity joins a list of other giving events happening in the city, including Clark's Christmas Kids Gift Drive, donations offered to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Bobby Brown's Bobbi Kristina Serenity House toy drive partnership benefiting families dealing with domestic violence.
