Amid protests across the nation following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Spotify users have looked to songs like Childish Gambino's "This Is America" and Kendrick Lamar's "Alright."

The two tracks have climbed to the top of Spotify's U.S. chart this week, according to reporting from Forbes.

Forbes reports that on Tuesday “This Is America” was at No. 2 on the U.S. Spotify chart and had more than 1.1 million streams. “Alright” was at No. 11 with more than 752,000 plays.

Metro Atlanta native Donald Glover, AKA Childish Gambino, released “This is America” in 2018. The song’s music video set off widespread conversation online.

The graphic video, directed by Glover, addresses gun violence, police violence and racism.

"Alright" was released in 2015. In it, Lamar addresses issues like poverty, violence and police brutality, according to Forbes.
