Author Robert Beatty of “Serafina” series in Alpharetta to promote book

Author Robert Beatty comes to Georgia in July to promote his latest book, “Serafina and the Twisted Staff”.

It’s the latest in the mystery-fantasy thriller series about an unusual girl who lives hidden in the basement of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. The first book, “Serafina and the Black Cloak” became a New York Times bestseller for ages eight and up.

“Serafina and the Twisted Staff” is set for nationwide release on July 12.

Beatty will be at the Barnes Noble-Alpharetta, Mansell Crossings Shopping Center, 7660 Northpoint Pkwy., in Alpharetta from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. July 17.

On July 18, he will be at the Barnes & Noble-Newnan, The Forum at Ashley Park, 342 Newnan Crossing Bypass from 6 p.m.to 9 p.m.

Both events include a discussion with the author, following by question-and-answer session, free food and drinks, a book signing and Serafina giveaways.
