Kids usually have their birthday parties at places like bowling alleys or movie theaters. But an 8-year-old in Atlanta picked a less predictable place to celebrate her birthday: Target.

On Sunday, Rikki Jackson tweeted a picture of her niece Brayden Lawrence, the birthday girl, and her friends dressed in Target’s signature red and khaki get up.

“My niece really just had her 8th birthday at Target lol! She’s obsessed,” Jackson tweeted.

The tweet of the birthday gathering at East Point’s Camp Creek Target has gone viral.

Jackson notes in the Twitter thread that while Target doesn’t officially host birthday parties, they got permission from the manager.

For the party, the store manager made each of the attendees a Target name badge. They a had walkie talkies and did a scavenger hunt throughout the store.

The family also bought giftcards for each of Brayden’s friends so they could buy something of their choice. Brayden even got to check them out — at register No. 8, of course.

Jackson told CNN that Brayden loves to spend hours at Target.

“Brayden is obsessed with Target," Jackson said. "She will literally just ask to go walk up and down the aisles. She loves it."

A Target spokeswoman Jacqueline DeBuse told CNN that the store was happy to bring some extra joy to the birthday girl.

"We're thrilled when our team goes above and beyond to create extra excitement and happiness for even our littlest guests," DeBuse told CNN.
