About 25 companies will provide everything from rings to catering

Essential workers have been there during the coronovirus pandemic, and some Atlanta companies want to be there for one of them.

The Dream Wedding Giveaway presented by Miss Milly's brings together nearly 25 Atlanta vendors who will throw a dream wedding for a lucky front-line worker. Everything from planning to music, rings to catering will be covered, up to $75,000.

"The dream wedding giveaway comes at a time when there aren't many dream moments," Alan McNaron of Orange Identity told Fox 5. "There's a lot of nightmare-type days and evenings, so while you all are on the front lines, we have businesses that can hopefully help you guys have a day and evening that is everything you want."

Courtney Laramore, owner of MIss Milly's Event Rental & Design, came up with the contest after a nurse detected a heart murmur in her young son.

The murmur turned out to be a congenital heart defect that was caught in time for treatment.

The contest is Laramore’s way of giving back.

"We don't know who that nurse was; we want to pay it forward, and that's why we're giving away a wedding to an essential worker," Laramore said.
