Whitney Houston’s former guest house, located about an hour from the hustle and bustle of New York, is now on the market for $1.6 million.

The sprawling ranch-style estate sits on five acres surrounded by lush landscaping and stunning scenery. Houston purchased the home in 1993 and sold the property to the current owners in 2010. Although the legendary singer died tragically in 2012, her memory lives on in the property, with tributes to the star still hanging on the walls in the recording studio that Houston frequently used, the New York Post reported.

“The former recording studio is currently a media room, gym area, office and kitchenette but could have a multitude of uses as the soundproof glass walls provide unique possibilities,” the listing says.

Many renovations have been made to the three-bedroom, four-bathroom home, including the conversion of the previous indoor pool to a three-season great room that opens to the backyard. The owner’s bedroom was last renovated in 2016 and includes a huge dressing room and bathroom off a private side hallway.

The home, which is hidden behind gates and fully fenced in for privacy, has a gourmet eat-in kitchen with a large center island with bar seating, a double oven and a wine refrigerator. Aside from the recording studio, the house also has a hot tub and a tennis court.

“It’s such a unique opportunity not just to be part of a piece of history, but also to own a special home,” Liane Dobson, who holds the listing, told The Post.
