Edgewood’s Mac & Cheese Festival returns

Food and music event raises money to help senior citizens in the area
Jan 28, 2020

Atlantans take their mac and cheese seriously — just ask Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, whose 2018 holiday dish was the talk of Twitter.

It’s not surprise there would be a festival built around the staple of many Southern households.

The Edgewood Mac & Cheese Festival returns for 2020 to raise money for a good cause. The event is presented by the Organized Neighbors of Edgewood, also known as ONE, and will benefit Neighbor in Need, an organization that helps senior citizen age in place.

Neighbor in Need makes free home repairs and safety improvements for low income senior citizens in Edgewood, Kirkwood and East Lake.

With restaurants ranging from Arby’s to El Tesoro, there will be plenty of cheesy dishes to enjoy.

But what's a festival without music? No worries. So far, All The Locals and Trio Jockamo have signed up to entertain the crowds.
