At a concert in Winnipeg, Canada, Bieber got emotional and he was reportedly heard saying, “Grimmie, can you hear me?” before breaking down in tears and collapsing to the stage floor while singing “Purpose” in her memory.
Bieber and Grimmie knew each other for some time. She was a good friend of his ex, Selena Gomez, and Gomez’s stepfather was Grimmie’s manager.
