Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame is back in the news for another run-in with law enforcement after he was allegedly caught with marijuana in his car -- and he wasn't wearing a seat belt, TMZ reports.

The website says police in Georgia pulled over the rapper, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, for a traffic violation Tuesday and could smell marijuana in his white Chevy Tahoe.

A search allegedly revealed "a small amount of marijuana" in the vehicle.

Waka was cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and failure to wear a seat belt, TMZ reported. He was released from custody.

The rapper has a history with law enforcement.

He was arrested last month in New York after being caught with marijuana at a mall in Queens, MTV.com reported, but was released without being charged.

He was released from jail in Henry County in January after turning himself in on charges including drug and weapons possession, criminal street gang activity and a probation violation. In May, a grand jury reportedly decided there was not enough evidence to warrant prosecution.

In February, his tour bus reportedly was shot at while a stereo was being installed in North Carolina.

He was arrested in Houston County last year for leaving Georgia to perform in a concert, which violated his probation. He had pleaded guilty in 2006 to possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

He also was shot in the arm during an apparent robbery at the Bubble Bath Car Wash on Old National Highway in January 2010.
