Singer Charles Kelley and wife Cassie McConnell Kelley announced to fans via the Womanista blog that they are expecting their first child. McConnell Kelley wrote:

"Charles and I are SO BEYOND EXCITED to share with y'all that we are expecting a baby! He or she is due in February and we are so happy we can hardly stand it. Like, ecstatic and I'm crying even as I type those words!"

McConnell Kelley wrote that the couple had difficulty getting pregnant and doctors gave them just a one percent change of conceiving naturally. But she says they never gave up hope, and she encourages other couples in similar situations to remain strong and hopeful.

The baby is due in February.
