Advance screening of "For Colored Girls" at Landmark
The Trust Black Women partnership will sponsor an advance screening of the Tyler Perry film, "For Colored Girls," Tuesday, followed by a panel discussion.
The private, advance screening will be held at 7 p.m. at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema, 931 Monroe Dr., and followed by the panel discussion at 9 p.m. Panelists scheduled to participate include the Rev. Joseph and Evelyn Lowery; actress Kaira Akita; and Nina Brown, producer with the Frank and Wanda Morning Show.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit and its work to protect human rights.

The film is based on the award-winning play" For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf" by Ntozake Shange.
