Suite Food Lounge opening downtown

Located in the space formerly occupied by Luckie Food Lounge, the full-service restaurant and lounge will serve contemporary American cuisine with traditional Southern influences. The menu, created by chef Michael Stevenson, features small plates, wood-fired pizzas, and lunch and dinner entrees, plus a limited lounge menu for late-night dining. Sobban set to open in Decatur

Dubbed a Korean-Southern diner, Sobban is set to open Oct. 1 in the former Kitsch'n 155 space on Clairmont Road. The new concept from Cody Taylor and Jiyeon Lee of the wildly popular Heirloom Market BBQ will feature the likes of Korean-style pork chops, noodle dishes, and tempura veggies, plus shaved ice desserts and a creative beverage program. Krog Street Market’s new additions

Paces Properties recently announced three new additions to its Inman Park concept designed to feature produce, merchants, vendors and restaurants under one roof. The team behind the General Muir is coming with a new burger and sandwich counter called Fred's Meat & Bread, named for Krog Street's Frederick Krog. Gu's Bistro is expanding inside the Perimeter with its first dumpling and noodle spot, called Gu's Dumplings. Atlanta Cheese Festival announced

The first Atlanta Cheese Festival will take place Oct. 11 at the Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. The focus of the interactive farmers market-style event is artisan cheese and specialty foods, and local, national and international cheese makers, food producers and cheese professionals will be on hand, including Star Provision's cheese monger Tim Gaddis. VIP ticket holders will be invited to participate in an exclusive beer and cheese pairing program developed for the festival by Michael Landis, director of curriculum for the Atlanta-based Institut du Fromage.
