Lusca closing on Feb. 14

Chefs Angus Brown and Nhan Le have sold their James Beard-nominated restaurant Lusca, and Feb. 14 will be the final day of service. In late 2015, Brown and Le announced that they would turn Lusca into a catering facility, and open a new, much more casual restaurant, Ama, in the Paris on Ponce market space near the Beltline. More metro Gus’s Fried Chicken

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken, which opened its first Georgia location in August 2015 at Peachtree Center in downtown Atlanta, has plans for several more metro Atlanta locations, including a Perimeter area store in 2016. The Memphis, Tenn.-based restaurant chain known for its funky decor and crispy, spicy fried chicken is expanding nationwide, with future locations planned for Kansas City and Los Angeles. Ammazza opening in Decatur

Hugh and Jason Connerty, who opened Ammazza in Old Fourth Ward in late 2012, are opening a second location of their popular pizzeria in Decatur by late summer 2016. The brothers will take over the former Twisted Soul space at 314 E. Howard St., across the street from Kimball House. Terrapin Georgia’s top beer

According to the RateBeer Best Awards for 2015, Terrapin Beer Co. in Athens is the top brewery in Georgia. And Terrapin's Wake-n-Bake Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout is the top Georgia beer. Reformation Brewery, which opened its tasting room in 2014, was named the top new brewery in Georgia.
