Studio No. 7 now open downtown
Billed as a gathering place for creatives, Studio No. 7 opened last week on Marietta Street in Atlanta. The studio space for visual, music and culinary artists houses an art gallery, test kitchen, bar and lounge. In the evening, look for cocktails and DJs in a lounge atmosphere. Restaurant Eugene hosts Sean Brock
Chef Linton Hopkins hosts celebrated Southern chef Sean Brock for a dinner at Restaurant Eugene on July 21. Hopkins and Brock will create a collaborative menu that celebrates summer produce such as okra, summer squash, eggplant, Sapelo Island red peas, tomatoes and peaches. Downtown Restaurant Week returns
Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Week returns for its 12th year Aug. 9-17. The nine-day culinary event features more than 30 participating restaurants, with prix-fixe menus priced at $15, $25 or $35 for brunch, lunch or dinner options. Prices are per person and exclude alcohol, tax and gratuity. Taste of Atlanta tickets on sale
Tickets for Taste of Atlanta are on sale now. The 2014 edition of the annual three-day food festival returns to Midtown's Tech Square Oct. 24-26, with some 90 metro Atlanta restaurants offering samples, plus interactive seminars and cooking demos on four stages.
