Saltwood open at Loews Atlanta

Saltwood Charcuterie & Bar is now open inside the Loews Atlanta Hotel in Midtown, replacing the former Restaurant Eleven and Bar Eleven in a single space serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. According to a press release, the casual dining concept is "named for its emphasis on salted, cured meats and classically rustic presentation on wood blocks. Urban pL8 opening at KSM

A revived Urban pL8 is the newest addition to the Krog Street Market food hall roster. Chef/owner Betsy Pitts closed the original Westside Urban pL8 in August 2014. The new version is set to open "later this fall." Billed as "health-conscious new American food," the stall will be "focused on affordable, clean and healthy cuisine," and "offer a wide variety of prepared meals in addition to popular Paleo offerings." The 420-square-foot market stall will be located across from Yalla and Grand Champion BBQ. Place Maker Design and Jennifer Healy of JHealy Interiors are in charge of the design. urbanpl8.com.

Joe Schafer in at Little Bacch

According to EATER Atlanta, Joe Schafer, who was executive chef at Abattoir before it closed last month, will be back as executive chef at the new Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison restaurant, Little Bacch, set to open in late spring or early summer. Little Bacch will replace the former Quinones Room at Quatrano and Harrison's Bacchanalia/Star Provisions complex at the Westside Provisions District. ChangeFest Food Truck Caravan

The ChangeFest on Saturday (April 18) is billed as "a great opportunity to check out various community partners and explore how you can make a difference," and a free one-day music fest. But it also features a Food Truck Caravan that promises an "afternoon of food and family fun." Look for a variety of Atlanta-based vendors, including One Love Jerk Grill, Linkz Express, King of Pops, Strawberry Mansion, Kona Ice Midtown, and Mobile Marlay Food Truck.
