T.MAC open near Braves site

On Monday, Taco Mac opened its newest location at the Parkway Pointe shopping center at the corner of Cobb Parkway and Cumberland Boulevard, not far from the site of the new Atlanta Braves stadium. Like the renovated Decatur location, the restaurant features a new look designed by ai3 and uses the new T.MAC name. Le Bilboquet opening Nov. 20

With restaurants in New York, Dallas, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Buckhead Atlanta marks the fifth location for Le Bilboquet, set to open for dinner on Nov. 20, lunch on Dec. 1, and brunch on Dec. 7. The original of the popular NYC bistro has been operating on the Upper East Side for more than 25 years. Rio Bravo returns in 2015

Recently shuttered Peter Chang Chinese Cuisine in Sandy Springs will be reborn as Ray's Rio Bravo. Last week, Ray Schoenbaum, original owner of Rio Bravo and founder of Ray's Restaurants, announced he will open Ray's Rio Bravo in Sandy Springs by Cinco de Mayo 2015. "Everyone over the years has always said, 'Why don't you bring it back? I remember going there when we were kids,' and I'm thrilled to do that," Schoenbaum said in a press release. raysriobravo.com.

Chef shuffles

Nick’s Food to Go founder Nick Poulos is retiring, reports Atlanta Magazine. But the Greek gyro spot will remain open with Nick’s wife, Helen, in the kitchen, and daughter Evie managing.

Philip Meeker, the co-executive chef at Kimball House, has left the Decatur restaurant, with Jeffrey Wall remaining as executive chef, according to Eater Atlanta.

Chef E.J. Hodgkinson of JCT Kitchen will take over the kitchen at King + Duke on Nov. 17, reports Atlanta Magazine. Brian Horn will become executive chef at JCT.
