Superica at Krog Street
Ford Fry's new restaurant, Superica, opened in the Krog Street Market on Monday, after a sneak peek party on Saturday. The casual "Mex-Tex" concept is similar to Fry's El Felix at Avalon in Alpharetta. The menu from Fry and executive chef Kevin Maxey features lunch and dinner plates with the likes of "puffy tacos" and wood-grilled meat and seafood. Look for a lively bar scene, live music at night, and breakfast on the weekends. 99 Krog St. N.E., Atlanta. facebook.com/SupericaATL.

Chef/owner Steven Lingenfelter is butchering Brasstown Beef for dry-aged, grass-fed burgers and weekly specials that will range from beef tartare and charcuterie to steaks and oxtail. On the beverage menu, find craft beer on draft, a concise wine list, and house cocktails. 1044 Greenwood Ave. N.E., Atlanta. 404-228-8954, illegalfoodatlanta.com.
