Porsche’s Restaurant 356 open
Restaurant 356 is now open at the new Porsche Experience Center and headquarters in Atlanta. The contemporary fine dining restaurant is located on the second floor of the center, with panoramic views of the 1.6-mile driver development track. The seasonal menu from executive chef Kyle Forson features "a refined world cuisine made with locally farmed and foraged ingredients" and "a wine program celebrating the great wine-growing regions of the world and innovative, classically focused cocktails." Burger 21 coming to Buckhead
The Tampa-based "beyond the better burger" chain, Burger 21, is set to open at Chastain Square Shopping Center on Roswell Road on July 27. There's another location at the Mall of Georgia, as well as more locations in Florida and North Carolina. From the owners of the Melting Pot Restaurants, the first Burger 21 location opened in Tampa in 2010. Gillespie’s Red Beard Restaurants
Atlanta chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Kevin Gillespie has announced his new parent company Red Beard Restaurants, which he said will maintain consistency at both his Glenwood Park restaurant, Gunshow, and Revival, his second restaurant, slated to open in Decatur on July 23, if all goes according to plan. In a press release, Gillespie said another reason for the move was "ensuring smart expansion for future development and providing consulting services to other food and beverage startups." redbeardrestaurants.com.
Michter’s dinner at the Luminary
On July 28, chef Eli Kirshtein and Michter's Distillery will team up for a bourbon dinner at the Luminary in Krog Street Market. The four-course dinner will pair Kirshtein's French dishes, such as mushroom gnocchi and duck breast with farro, with the likes of the Louisville, Ky., distillery's US*1 American Whiskey. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with passed hors d'oeuvres and a specialty Michter's cocktail from the Luminary's bartender Jeff Banks. $65 per person.
