Noble Fin in Peachtree Corners
Noble Fin, the new restaurant from chef Jay Swift of 4th & Swift in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward, is set to open on May 23 in Peachtree Corners. It's being billed as "a coastal American inspired restaurant and bar focusing on premium quality seafood, steaks, hand-cut pastas, signature cocktails, bottled and draft beer, fine wine and local vegetables," and Swift's son, Jeb Aldrich, will serve as chef de cuisine. Chef Marvin Woods closes Asante
Chef Marvin Woods has closed Asante, his "coastal soul" restaurant located across from Centennial Olympic Park. But plans are already underway to relocate and reopen in early 2017, most likely in Midtown. An announcement on the Asante website noted, "We are moving locations, and literally under construction." And Woods told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he is working on a new restaurant, Aunt Tiny's, which is set to open near King Plow in the fall. Woods is known as the lead chef for first lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign. asanteatl.com.
Taverna replacing Thirteen Pies
Raised Palate Restaurants closed the doors to its Thirteen Pies restaurant at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta on May 1. But another Texas-based restaurant group is set to open another Italian concept in its place. Taverna Atlanta from Lombardi Family Concepts "will offer Northern Italian delights ranging from simple comforts such as oven-fired pizzas and salads to fabulous risotto," according to a press release. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner daily and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. tavernabylombardi.com.
Holeman and Finch for lunch
Known for its iconic double-stack H&F burger and progressive cocktail program, Holeman and Finch Public House recently launched weekend lunch service beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
